Be ready to answer the following:

  • What services do you want—proofreading, editing, or formatting?
  • How many words long is your document? If you don’t know, at least tell me the number of pages and whether it’s single-spaced or doubled-spaced.
  • Is it in Word, Google Docs, PDF, or something else?
  • What is the subject matter about?
  • Do you have any special requirements?
  • When do you need it?

If you agree to my price, I will inform you where to submit your document. Once I receive your document and look over it, I will email you a written quote listing the terms we discussed, and then begin work.

Big Projects

If you have a long document or a project that requires writing, revision, or some other special service, we probably need to have a longer conversation. Click below to request a free consultation by phone, Zoom, or Google Meet. I will email you and work out a consultation time that is convenient for you.

Then What Happens?

  1. Consultation – You explain what you need, and I let you know if I can help you.
  2. Proposal – I give you a document detailing the services to be performed, the timetable, and my fee.
  3. Initial payment – If you like my proposal, you notify me and pay a deposit.
  4. Brief – I ask you some questions so I have the information I need to begin work.
  5. Document creation – I perform the agreed upon services and email you a draft.
  6. Review – You look over the document(s) and let me know if I need to make any changes.
  7. Delivery – I email you the final draft in the formats you prefer (e.g. Word, Google Doc, PDF).
  8. Final payment – You pay by check or PayPal.

Some jobs will not require all these steps.
